Pastoral Covenant

As a church we are committed to our pastoral team and a covenant has been written that we commit to, at the beginning of each year, as a way of showing our support to the Pastors.

Believing that God has led us by His Spirit to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, we unite together in the fellowship of our church to commit ourselves as a church family to support our pastoral team in the following ways:

• As partners on a spiritual journey we recognize our pastors as God’s representatives in this church and commit to love, care, encourage and pray for them faithfully.
• We will support our pastors by serving alongside them, using our God given spiritual gifts and talents.
• We are committed to the spiritual, physical and emotional development of our pastors through appropriate events, training and retreats.
• We recognize that our pastors’ weekly time off needs to be respected and that the pastor’s home is their personal space.
• We will actively encourage and support the families of our pastors.
• As a church family, we will do our part to fulfill this covenant by trusting and following the church leadership, protecting unity in the church, and by being open to training and teaching that will equip us for service.
